Connecting your exchange API key

Step-by-step guide to creating and connecting your exchange API key.

Connecting your API key

Your API key allows Tradion to execute trades on your behalf. We never have access to withdraw funds.

Step 1: Create an API key on your exchange

Each exchange has its own process. Visit your exchange's API management page:

  • Bybit: Account → API Management → Create New Key
  • Binance: Account → API Management → Create API
  • Other exchanges: Check our exchange-specific guides

  • Step 2: Set the right permissions

    Your API key needs:

  • Read permission (required)
  • Trade/Order permission (required)
  • Withdraw permission (not needed — keep this OFF for safety)

  • Step 3: Add the key to Tradion

  • Go to Settings → API Keys
  • Select your exchange
  • Paste your API Key and Secret
  • Click Save

  • Security

Your credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. We never store plain-text keys.

    Common issues

  • "Invalid API key" — Double-check that you copied the full key without extra spaces
  • "Permission denied" — Make sure Trade/Order permission is enabled
  • "IP restricted" — If your key has IP restrictions, contact support for our server IPs
  • apikeyexchangebybitbinancecredentialsconnect
