My bot isn't trading — what to check

Step-by-step checklist when your bot isn't executing trades.

Bot Not Trading — Checklist


Work through these checks in order:


1. Is your API key valid?

Go to Settings → API Keys and check the status badge:

  • 🟢 Connected — Key is working
  • 🔴 Expired/Invalid — Reconnect your key

  • 2. Is your bot enabled?

    Go to Settings → Bot and make sure the bot toggle is ON.


    3. Do you have sufficient balance?

    Check your exchange account balance. Your available balance must cover:

  • The configured budget amount
  • Exchange minimum order sizes (usually $5-10 per asset)

  • 4. Are assets configured?

    Go to Settings → Bot and verify at least one trading asset is selected.


    5. Has the budget been exhausted?

    If you've used your daily/cycle budget, the bot will wait for the next cycle.

    Check the dashboard for your remaining budget.


    6. Are there error notifications?

    Click the 🔔 bell icon in the top navigation. Recent errors will show details about why trades failed.


    7. Is the exchange online?

    Occasionally exchanges have maintenance windows. Check your exchange's status page.
